Dr. Singer was born in Brazil and started her career as a freelance translator, specializing in the biomedical field, in 1996, following retirement from the University of São Paulo. Lucia holds a Ph.D. in Microbiology and Immunology. She taught Immunology and was a researcher at the University of São Paulo (USP) for 26 years. During that period, her articles on Basic Immunology and on Immunology of Infectious Diseases were published in international medical journals and books. Most of her current freelance work is related to clinical and pre-clinical trials, papers for medical journals, educational material, MSDSs and documentation for the pharmaceutical and biomedical industry.
